- 150 children from primary school students from various provinces will stay in the camp for 1.5 months -

The health camp of the Youth Organization of the Red Crescent was opened yesterday at 18:00 in Sarıgöllü's Garden with a big ceremony.

Our Trade Deputy Doctor Behçet Uz, Governor B. Sabri Öney, Lieutenant General Hakkı Oğuz, deputies, mayor, party members, provincial administrative committee and municipality members, director of education, gendarmerie commander, health director, Red Crescent members and journalists were present at the ceremony.

Even though our trade deputy was the governor, he was applauded by those present when he arrived at the camp at 18:00.

First of all, lawyer B. Baha Yörük, the second head of Kızılay İzmir Center, made a short speech, explained the importance of the camp opened by Kızılay for the children of his country and greeted the guests.

Our Trade Representative, Dr. Behçet Uz responded to this with a very concise speech, in particular, commemorated the name of Tekirdağ deputy Cemil Uybad, the deputy chief of the Red Crescent Youth Institution, who was the biggest factor in the opening of this camp. "I'm opening it," he cut the ribbon. After that, the tented camp, which was prepared in a neat and clean way, was visited, and biscuits and lemonades were served to the guests.

The camp is for children between the ages of 7 and 12. There are 75 tents and 150 students, two people each.

Regular physical exercises will be done every day in the camp where primary school students from İzmir, Manisa, Denizli and Aydın provinces participate. It is hoped that good results will be obtained from the camp, which will continue for one and a half months.
