Sports business in Izmir has entered a new phase. The members of the former Altınordu and Buca clubs, who met in the former Altınordu Club building, accepted the name Üçok with the approval of the regional committee after heated debates, and found the red-dark blue, the color of Altınordu, suitable as a uniform. Thereupon, a new administrative committee was elected.
The old Altay Club will also merge with Burnova and operate under the new name. The old Göztepe Club will accept the Doğanspor name. Egespor will merge with İzmirspor.
