Other names: The hill, the twins, Tumba

Explanation: Before the Republic, they were named as ''the twins'' because there was a smaller hill similar to it just north of it. The Greeks also called it just "the hill". It was called "tumba" in the first periods of the republic, and in the following years it was named Tingirtepe. Before it was urbanized, it was in a position that completely dominated Buca, and in the 1800s a Catholic Armenian Petros Tingirian had built a house on top of it. Today, the name of Tingirtepe comes from here.
