- Erdem Street -

Other names: Chios Street, Hadjidakia, Lower Bazaar, Fatih Street, Old Municipality Street

Description: Until the 1970s, when Buca began to urbanize, it was the main street of Buca. In the following years, it lost its place to streets such as Menderes Street and Istasyon Street. Before the Republic, it was the border separating the Lower and Upper Greek quarters. It was also called Hadjidakia because there were many Greek immigrants from Chios. Besides, the Greeks called it "lower bazaar". In addition, since the old town hall was on this street, it was also called "old municipality street" in the early days of the republic.
